HOSHALL'S HISTORY

A passionate history buff, Hoshall knew at a young age she wanted to pursue a legal career. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in History at Mississippi State University in 2012, she attended the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayetteville where she primarily focused on food law, contract law, estates. She was an active member of the Journal of Food Law & Policy — the first student-edited legal journal in the country devoted to the study of food law and its impact on society. In 2014, her article, The Hamburglar, Friend or Foe: What is the Best Solution for Lawsuits Alleging Obesity Caused by Fast Food Outlets when No Causal Link between Consumption and Obesity Can Be Found?”, was selected by the advisory board to be published in the Journal of Food Law & Policy, Volume 10 (Fall 2014). That same year she was also named Articles Editor of the Journal of Food Law & Policy Editorial Board.

Upon graduating law school, Hoshall started her legal career in her hometown of Forrest City at Hicky & Collins, then opened her own practice in 2019. She served as a Public Defender and criminal defense attorney for over five years before becoming a Deputy Prosecutor for the First Judicial District of Arkansas in 2022.

Hoshall now focuses her private practice on civil law, including contracts, real estate, and estate planning for her clients.
